Hjalte Mann is a biologist with a strong interest in combining ecology, computer science and engineering. He holds a PhD from Ecoscience, Aarhus University, in which he focused on automated monitoring of Arctic floral species and their pollinators. Subsequently, during a postdoc at AU, Hjalte founded the company Tecology with the aim of developing and utilizing intelligent biodiversity monitoring systems and making the technology available both within and outside of research. He is now working full time on developing the company’s technology and business, with support from Innovation Fund Denmark.
